Every Dungeons & Dragons session needs dice — but not everyone has a full set of polyhedral dice handy. Whether you're playing online, forgot your dice bag at home, or just want a faster way to roll, a good online dice roller is essential. We built ours specifically with tabletop RPG players in mind.
Our free dice roller supports every die a D&D player needs: d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, and d100. It runs in your browser with no downloads, no sign-ups, and no ads blocking your rolls. Here's why tabletop gamers love it.
Every Die You Need in One Place
From the humble d6 for ability scores to the mighty d20 for attack rolls and saving throws, our roller covers every standard RPG die. Need a d4 for a magic missile? A d8 for a longsword? A d12 for a greataxe? A d100 for a wild magic surge? Every polyhedral die is a single tap away.
Each die is rendered as a 3D polyhedron with realistic face gradients and smooth animation. The d6 shows classic pips, while the d20 and d10 display numerals on each face — just like real dice.

Dice Roller
Advantage and Disadvantage Mode
One of the most-used mechanics in D&D 5e is advantage and disadvantage. Instead of rolling twice and manually comparing, our dice roller has a dedicated ADV/DIS toggle. In Advantage mode, it rolls two dice and automatically keeps the higher result. In Disadvantage mode, it keeps the lower. Both dice are displayed side by side so you can see exactly what happened.
This saves time during combat and eliminates the confusion of "wait, which roll was higher?" — the winning die is highlighted in color while the losing die is dimmed. One tap, instant result.
Modifiers for Ability Checks and Saving Throws
Every D&D roll involves a modifier. Roll 1d20+5 for an Athletics check. Roll 1d8+3 for longsword damage. Our dice roller lets you set any modifier from -99 to +99. The result shows both the raw roll and the modified total, so your DM can verify everything.
For even faster setup, use dice notation — just type "2d6+3" or "1d20+7" into the notation field and hit Enter. It parses standard dice notation instantly and configures everything for you.
Roll Multiple Dice at Once
Casting Fireball? Roll 8d6 in one tap. Sneak Attack damage? Roll 4d6. Our roller handles up to 10 dice simultaneously, each with its own independent result. Individual die results are shown in a grid, with the sum calculated automatically.
Combined with modifiers, you can handle even complex rolls like "8d6+4" for an empowered Fireball without any mental math.
Roll History and Statistics
Think the dice are cursed? Check the stats. Our roller tracks your last 15 rolls with full detail — dice type, individual results, modifier, and total. A distribution chart shows how often each total has appeared, and running statistics display your average, minimum, maximum, and total roll count.
This is especially useful for DMs running longer sessions. You can verify dice fairness, track critical hit frequency, or just settle the "I always roll low" debate once and for all.
Quick Presets and Custom Saves
Tired of reconfiguring for the same roll? Built-in presets cover the most common D&D rolls: 1d20, 1d20+5, 2d6, and more. But you can also save your own custom presets — your Paladin's 2d6+5 Divine Smite, your Rogue's 1d20+8 attack roll, whatever you roll most often.
Custom presets are saved to your browser, so they're ready next session. Long-press to remove any preset you no longer need.

Shake to Roll and Keyboard Shortcuts
For a more tactile experience, shake your phone to roll the dice — the accelerometer detects the motion and triggers a roll automatically. On desktop, use keyboard shortcuts: Space or Enter to roll, and number keys 1-7 to switch between dice types instantly.
These shortcuts make the roller fast enough to keep up with even the most action-packed combat encounters. No fumbling with buttons — just shake and roll.
Max Roll Celebrations
Rolled a natural 20? The screen explodes with confetti and a MAX badge appears. It's a small touch, but it makes those critical hits feel genuinely epic. Minimum rolls get a subtle badge too — because sometimes you need to acknowledge the bad luck.
